Internal Family Systems therapy is my favorite way to help individuals.

 

It suggests that we all have a true Self that can be calm, curious, compassionate, confident, courageous, creative, clear, and connected. When we are led by Self, we have the capacity to heal parts of us that are wounded and burdened. We can also free parts of us from extreme protective tendencies meant to prevent or push down pain.
